It has happened, we miscalculated!
In the article Steel-Expander Construction, I wrote down the sizes for the grip handles compared to your height. And there happened the mistake.
In the comments of “Steel-Expander Construction” I wrote the following:
If you want to adjust your expander more on your personal size, here are the handle sizes in 5cm steps:
Height (cm) – Grip Handle (mm)
160cm – 165mm
165cm – 190mm
170cm – 215mm
175cm – 240mm
180cm – 265mm
185cm – 290mm
190cm – 315mm
195cm – 340mm
200cm – 365mm
What’s wrong with it?
To understand you need some extra information. The springs Ratazong has produced are 55cm long and can be stretched up to 130cm, without wearing out. Said in pics, it looks like this:
Back to calculating:
Spring length without tension: 55cm
Stretched springs: 130cm
Height – 25cm = Armspan
Armspan – Stretched springs = Griphandle length
Grip handle length = length of BOTH GRIPHANDLES TOGETHER
185cm – 25cm = 160cm
160cm – 130cm = 30cm
-> 15cm each griphandle
-> I wrote down the complete Griphandle length, so you have to divide it by two, to get the length of each handle.
Thank you very much for letting us know our fault! Appreciate it!
