We’re getting close to the end. Intermittent Fasting is one of the biggest steps towards the way I diet right now.
Intermittent Fasting (IF)
Intermittent Fasting, intermittent that sounds strange, because either you fast or you don’t – that’s the way I though. But the world ain’t black and white. But why Intermittent Fasting? Intermittent because you use the scheme 16/8 or 24/0. 16/8 means you fast for 16 hours and you eat within 8 hours. 24/0 means you fast for a whole day (24 hours). Intermittent Fasting (IF) is used in some kind of way in the Warrior and Fighter Diet. While you’re fasting you use an effect equal to cutting calories. But you don’t fast for a long time, just 16 to 24 hours a day. A lot shorter than therapeutic fasting or the kind of fasting the catholic church does.
The nutrient intake on IF is a lot like our ancestors ate, before there was farming and livestock breeding. Because they had to move (hunt, make fire, etc) before they got something to eat. When doing IF you simulate this behavior.
Intermittent Fasting is willful cut of food in a regular change with normal eating habits.
How I got to IF the first time? I can’t remember. But I found it again in January of 2013 via Philipp Rauscher. I already knew from the Warrior and Fighter Diet, Fasting won’t cut muscle mass. So I immediatly started doing IF and now nearly 12 months passed and I’ll keep doing it. But why was I able to keep it that long? Because it does not cut you from your friends. I was cutting calories while being a social person. I didn’t have to turn down dinner invitations. Just make sure you’re not overeating yourself within the feeding window. Two normal sized meals and a fruit snack are enough and you’ll keep losing weight.
